Founded by SGT Nelson Perez, a U.S. Army Afghanistan War veteran, the brand is rooted in lived experience service, sacrifice, leadership, and the quiet strength that follows adversity.
While serving on active duty in Colorado, Nelson was involved in a serious accident that left him with a broken back. In one moment, everything changed. The battle was no longer about training or missions it became about recovery. Two demanding years of rehabilitation tested his body, his mindset, and his faith. Progress was slow. Some days were harder than others. But resilience earned through service never left him.
Step by step, he stood again.
That resilience became the foundation of something greater.
After transitioning home, Nelson saw that many military-inspired brands lacked authenticity. They didn’t reflect the real experiences, the unspoken humor, or the standards veterans live by. Valor Legacy was created to represent those values with integrity and quality.
